Rain Ramirez

Rain attended Open Studio to demonstrate Mandalas, a type of meditation used by Tibetan Monks. The youth class created these in a 1 hour period, but professional Mandalas usually take upwards of 8 hours.

Lizi Campbell

Lizi is a portrait artist who, using acrylic paint, showed the Open Studio Youth class how to create realistic tones as well as showing the class how to highlight areas of the face and to blend colors together for a realistic transition.

Elizabeth Solomon Schimpf

I am a life-long artist, drawing and creating from a young age.  I was in the band and Art club in high school.  After graduating, it was off to Atlanta to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta.  I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design in 2008.  I was a custom framer for 6 years through and after college.  My first design job out of school was with a company who specialized in printing and home printing devices.  This job introduced me to package design.  I moved back to Chattanooga in 2009.  I've since had contract design jobs with the Johnson Group, Jonesy Wood Designs and Greenscapes Inc.  I'm currently specializing in package design and 3D package rendering.  I maintain hobbies including sewing, crocheting, block printing, jewelry making, freehand typography and belly dancing.  Art comes in so many forms and I've still got a lot left to try!
